i cooked for my family today. i went to Giant, and browsed around for anything easy, quick and cheap until i saw marinated lamb shoulders at the meat isle. i bought 10 pieces (2 each) for only rm 20.00. then i thought a really good mashed potatoes and a simple salad will be a great side dishes for the fatty lamb shoulders.
it only took me only 30 minutes and less then rm 50.00 to prepare a full plate dinner for 5 adults... and below is the result...
self-cooked lamb chop, mashed potatoes with garlic and purple cabbage+golden raisin salad..
marinated lamb shoulders from Giant - 5 minutes in the microwave (high temperature) its cooked!
mashed potatoes with garlic - boiled potatoes in heavily salted water until they are really tender. drained the water and mashed them with potato masher. add black pepper, garlic butter (yes, they do sell ready made garlic butter) and cream. mash them all until you tired..heheh
purple cabbage and golden raisin salad - add 2 scoops of mayonnaise and 1 scoop of condensed milk into a big bowl of chopped purple cabbage and golden raisins. mix them up.
i know that my mom and my sis enjoy my cooking... but my dad still need "nasik" for dinner. my younger brother ... as always... he just took a bite and threw the rest away...
i have already eaten 2 pieces for dinner and there are still 4 pieces left... hey... i am not complaining... it will keep me awake until 6.00 am later to watch the EPL match on ASTRO.
